With the Cyrix battery separator from Victron, batteries can all be connected in parallel to the starter battery. When the Cyrix determines that the starter battery has reached the coupling voltage, all batteries are charged in parallel and when it is determined that the disconnection voltage has been reached, the batteries are disconnected.
Battery voltage monitoring
The Cyrix has battery voltage monitoring to prevent unwanted switching. The Cyrix does more than just connect and disconnect. The Cyrix looks at the general trend and only adjusts the most recently executed action if the trend has changed during a certain time frame. The time delay depends on the voltage deviation from the trend.
Protection against overheating
The Cyrix disconnects in the event of excessive contact temperature and also recovers coupling after it has cooled down again. For example, overheating can occur as a result of prolonged overload.
No voltage loss
The voltage drop is practically zero, so that the output voltage of alternators and battery chargers does not have to be increased.
The Cyrix is not suitable for Euro 5 and 6 engines with an intelligent alternator.
